Our LGBTQ+, nonbinary, and gender-diverse cultural awareness trainings, conducted by professional LGBTQ+ experienced facilitators, are designed to help providers and staff offer respectful services that affirm these clients’ identities, improve their experiences in your office, and better support their overall well-being.

In a non-judgmental, compassionate, anti-oppression context, staff will learn about the health & social disparities across LGBTQ+ and gender diverse communities; appropriate and up-to-date ways of engaging with people in these communities; and the compounding impacts of intersecting identities – all to help create a more affirming and welcoming care environment. Participants are encouraged to examine their personal beliefs and social conditioning regarding gender, sexuality, and diverse identities, to provide the context and self-awareness needed to work compassionately with LGBTQ+, non-binary, and gender diverse people.

These tailored trainings provide an overview of the spectrum of sexual orientation and gender identities, a rich depth of individual and social learning, personal exploration, and tools for affirmative implementation of this knowledge.
